| Pragathi Charities has taken up C.B.R. Project (Comprehensive Rehabilitation package project for disabled children, youth & their families in 2 Mandals of Nellore District. i.e. (1) Indukurpet and (2) T.P. Gudur mandals. In this project we have identified 1199 multiple disabled in these 2 Mandals and given Medical Certificates to 820 No's, Aids and Appliances to 259 No's, Bus Passes to 629 No's; formed 23 Self help groups, given Training in Cycle mechanism for 24 No's through NABARD, issued Loans through Banks for 5 No's, Cycle shops opened through Bank Loans - 5, Cycle shops opened by own - 19, Training given in Embroidering for 322 women and got Pensions sanctioned to 266 No's through government. | | | |  | Improved and facilitated the services prvided for people with disabilities (PWDs), their families and careers in the the locations of these families and communities. | | Implementaion is been carried out by volunteer community rehabilitation workers (CRWs) | | Trained the CRWs and provided within a certain organisational set up. | | In CBR: We made the disabled people, their family members and other community members built their own community for disabled persons, such as general care, accommodating each other's needs (i.e., family members adapting themselves to the situation of the disabled, and vice-versa), education and health, using whatever they know, whatever they have, in whatever daily circumstances that exist. | | Through Community Based Rehabilitation Programmes we Recognized the human and material Limitations of disabled people, their family members and other community members, we used to visit the Disabled persons and their families in their homes, by providing appropriate information, therapy and/or training, promoting and facilitating rights and duties of disabled persons, family and community members. | | | | | | | | |
